Sunday 15th some of my Austrian, German & Italian friends offer me to hang out in Oliver Punkett, a typical Irish pub, famous for its Irish decorum and above all Irish music played in live by bands pretty much everyday.
We wanted to live a positive stereotype of Ireland : drinking beer in a pub and listening some traditional music with Irish people. Well, that's exactly what we got! And I have to say I loved it, really charming and special. At the end of the evening we tried to sang along with the band and audience (hardly because we didn't know the lyrics obviously), and dance with the few recklesses. I remade this experience since, always cool!

allemands et italiens m’ont proposé de sortir au Oliver Plunkett, un pub
irlandais typique, célèbre pour son décorum et surtout la musique irlandaise
jouée en live par des groupes presque tous les soirs.
On voulait vivre un stéréotype positif
de l’Ireland : boire de la bière dans un pub et écouter de la musique
traditionnelle avec des irlandais. Eh bien, c’est exactement ce qu’on a eu !
Et je dois dire que j’ai aimé, vraiment charmant et spécial. Vers la fin on a
essayé de chanter avec le groupe et l’audience (difficilement car on ne
connaissait pas les paroles bien sûr), et de danser avec les quelques
téméraires. J’ai refait cette expérience depuis, toujours cool !
